Katy Subhi Jarjoura is from Nazareth graduated her BA in Psychology and Sociology in 1977from Bir Zeit University and her MA in Sociology from Haifa University in 1982.                                     
Her passion for music made her acquire different degrees in music education, choral conducting and music therapy. Katy works as music therapist with children and youth who are challenged physically and mentally, autistic, and those coming from difficult familial states.

Katy is the co-founder and conductor of Ud-Alnad Choir in Nazareth. The choir is well known for singing various Classical Arabic Styles, Byzantine chants as well as the Islamic Sufi chants.
Human rights for health, education and good living made her a member of the Arab Human Rights Association in Nazareth and in 2007 elected to be a board member.

Katy works and volunteers for various NGOs in training and giving workshops to teachers in music education, appreciation and in music therapy. She works with the social welfare in giving workshops to empower Arab women in different themes of their lives.
In 2002 Katy was one of the founding members of the Friends of the Holy Family Hospital for her belief in the well being of people.
