Yusef Salim Srouji born in Nazareth on the 11th of May 1926 and graduated from Brummana High School in Lebanon in 1944. He graduated from the American University of Beirut with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1948.

In 1952 started work in the family business the Agency of Mobil Petroleum Products (Sonol today) then with Amisragas, Ampa, Crystal Leo Goldber (General Motors Cars).
In December 1953 joined the Rotary Club of Nazareth and in 1963 elected as President of the Rotary Club of Nazareth.

In June 1954 served as representative of Property Owners in the "Rent Tribunal" in Nazareth under the presidency of Judge Elias Kteily. In October 1954 he was appointed by Tel Aviv Bank Hapoalim as Advisor to the newly opened Branch in Nazareth.
